Speaker: Nathan Hoppe: Executive Director of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC)
Nathan Hoppe serves as the Executive Director of the Orthodox Christian Mission Center (OCMC). He assumed this role in January, following 27 years of missionary service in Albania, where he worked under the leadership of Archbishop Anastasios of blessed memory during the historic revival of the Orthodox Church after the fall of communism. During his years in Albania, Hoppe was deeply involved in theological education, youth formation, and parish development. He directed the Central Children’s Office of the Orthodox Church of Albania and played a key role in developing national ministry programs that helped nurture a new generation of faithful leaders. He also represented the Church in numerous international settings, including official dialogues with the Roman Catholic Church, the Lutheran World Federation, and the worldwide Anglican Communion. Hoppe holds master’s degrees from Wheaton College and Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology, as well as a Doctor of Ministry from St. Vladimir’s Orthodox Theological Seminary. He is the author of Fostering Local Eucharistic Communities: A Biblical, Historical, and Theological Reflection Inspired by Missionary Service in Albania.
