Youth and Young Adults

OCA Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry

A church-wide ministry providing a variety of worship, fellowship, educational and service opportunities to engage youth, young adults, and college students in the life of our Church.

Members of the Department of Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministry (YYACM) support the efforts of local parishes, communities and dioceses across North America to nurture the spiritual growth and formation of our children, youth and college age students, helping them reach their full potential as Orthodox Christians.

This support comes in many forms, including, but not limited to:

  • Camp and Vacation Bible programs
  • Teen retreats & mission trips
  • Youth group activities
  • YYA leader training and workshops
  • On-line interactive resources
  • Service projects
  • Exploration of vocations
  • The All-American Council Youth Program

The Department also partners with other departments within the OCA and the youth and young adult departments of each jurisdiction in North America, as well as the Eastern Orthodox Committee on Scouting (EOCS), the Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF), Syndesmos, and the Fellowship of Orthodox Christians in America (FOCA), encouraging collaboration in the development of resources and maintaining contact with youth, young adults, and college students of all ages.

The OCA’s Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry always welcomes those who are interested in joining our efforts, and asks you to join us in praying for the youth, young adults and college students of our Church.

Orthodox Christian Fellowship

Orthodox Christian Fellowship (OCF) is the official collegiate campus ministry program under the Assembly of Canonical Orthodox Bishops of the United States of America. OCF is charged with connecting Orthodox college students—and those interested in the Orthodox Christian faith—to Christ and His Church. OCF realizes this mission by:

  • Supporting fellowships on college campuses, whose members experience and witness to the Orthodox Christian Church through community life, prayer, service to others, and study of the Faith;
  • Providing a variety of thoughtful and innovative programming including College Conference and Real Break domestic and international service projects; and,
  • Training lay and clergy volunteers as well as our students for leadership roles on campus and beyond.

The OCF North American Office is located in Brookline, Massachusetts on the campus of Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology.

Youth Camp

All Saints Summer Camp

Location: 2155 Southern Loop Rd. Shreveport, LA 71106

Each morning the campers wake up at 7 am, followed by morning prayers and breakfast. The camp is then divided into older and younger groups for session breakouts with the priest. They then have organized outside games and practice for their skit.

At All Saints Summer Camp prayer is an important part of our schedule. Every morning our campers begin with morning prayers where they hear the daily epistle and gospel and a homily given by one of our priest. In the evening, they come together again for vespers.

Who do I call with questions about Summer Camp? Fr. Jason Foster 318-455-4219 or email Presv. Katherine at allsaintssummercamp@gmail.com
