Falls Creek Campground near Cumberland Falls, Kentucky
Orthodox Christians from across Kentucky, Tennessee, and the surrounding region are invited to gather for the 7th Annual St. Herman Pan-Orthodox Campout near Cumberland Falls, Kentucky.
The St. Herman Campout began in 2020 as an opportunity for Orthodox Christians to gather outdoors for fellowship and prayer. Since then, it has grown into an annual Pan-Orthodox gathering, with participants from OCA, Antiochian, ROCOR, and other Orthodox communities. Last year’s campout included participants from at least eight parishes.
The 2026 campout will begin on Friday, September 25 and conclude following the 8:00 AM Divine Liturgy on Sunday, September 27. Clergy participation and services for the weekend are being coordinated with the blessing of His Grace Bishop Gerasim and the appropriate hierarchs.
Camping & Accommodations
The gathering will be centered at Falls Creek Campground near Cumberland Falls and Corbin, Kentucky. Several accommodation options are available, including:
- Inexpensive primitive campsites with access to bath facilities
- Rustic cabins with access to bath facilities
- Cabins with additional amenities
- RV sites with hookups
Weekend Schedule & Activities
The weekend will include a mixture of scheduled services and activities along with plenty of time for fellowship, campfires, games, and enjoying the outdoors.
- Friday Evening: Akathist
- Saturday Morning: Akathist
- Saturday Midday: Organized group hike
- Saturday Evening: Great Vespers and Confessions
- Saturday Evening: Informal music gathering. Bring instruments and voices!
- Sunday at 8:00 AM: Divine Liturgy
Between scheduled activities, families can enjoy children’s games, campfire fellowship, hiking, conversation, and time together with Orthodox Christians from throughout the region.
Clergy & Parish Participation
Clergy and their families are warmly invited to attend for all or part of the weekend. A limited number of additional rooms may be available for clergy families. Clergy who would like to serve during the weekend should contact the event coordinator.
Parishes are also encouraged to share information about the campout with their communities and invite parishioners to participate.
