SUPRASL 2026 Scholarship for Orthodox Young Adults

With the blessing of His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon, the Department of Youth, Young Adult and Campus Ministry of the Orthodox Church in America is pleased to support OCA participation at SUPRASL 2026. The OCA is offering a $700 scholarship for one participant (ages 18-30) in each diocese of the OCA.

His Eminence, Archbishop Alexander, is therefore inviting any young adults from the Diocese of the South to submit a written request, not to exceed one page, for consideration for this scholarship. The request should thoughtfully reflect the applicant’s interest and readiness, drawing directly upon the information linked above concerning the SUPRASL 2026 event. SUPRASL 2026 will take place from July 28 to August 6, 2026, at the Monastery of the Annunciation and the Supraśl Academy in Supraśl, Poland. This year’s gathering will commemorate the 130th anniversary of the birth of St. Sophrony the Athonite of Essex, celebrating his life, legacy, and theological witness.

The Diocese of the South intends to match the OCA’s scholarship. Still, please note that this scholarship is offered as partial financial assistance. The individual selected will be responsible for covering the remaining expenses, which will primarily include round-trip travel costs. All requests must be received by the Diocese of the South no later than March 1.

To apply for the Scholarship please send your written request to office@dosoca.org

SUPRAŚL, POLAND – Each summer, SUPRASL—a World Fellowship of Orthodox Youth—hosts its annual international gathering for young adults aged 18–30. Founded to create a space where Orthodox Christians from around the world can come together in worship, fellowship, and spiritual growth, SUPRASL will mark its fifth anniversary in 2026.

“These gatherings, now in their fifth year, continue to offer an unparalleled opportunity for Orthodox young adults to encounter peers from different Churches, cultures, and backgrounds,” said Sophia Chiriac, SUPRASL’s Project Coordinator. “SUPRASL has become a source of inspiration. We no longer hope it will have an impact on the Church—we are already witnessing that impact.”
