The Divine Liturgy for Small and Large Choirs is a new music setting of the Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom composed by Nicholas Reeves for the multiple ensembles of St. Seraphim Orthodox Cathedral in Dallas, Texas. This edition accommodates choirs with fewer members—as will be heard on August 28 at 9:30 AM —as well as the larger cathedral choirs—premiering on August 30 at 9:30 AM.
All English and Spanish translations from the original Greek and Church Slavonic are the work of Archbishop DMITRI (Royster), to whose blessed memory this Divine Liturgy is dedicated.
St. Seraphim Cathedral Choir is a liturgical ensemble from the Dallas area dedicated to the beauty of sacred music in the Orthodox Christian tradition. Since 2024, the cathedral choirs have been preparing for the premiere of both settings through workshops, sectional rehearsals, and full ensemble rehearsals.
We invite you to join them in giving thanks to God in the most profound way our Lord has given us: through the celebration of the Holy Eucharist.
