From time to time, the Dallas Chancery Office receives requests for various documents including our DOS Uniform Parish Bylaws. In an effort to make this and other documents available, this section of the DOS website will be adding useful documents that have been approved by His Beatitude, Metropolitan Jonah as well as those approved by the Holy Synod of the Orthodox Church in America.

You are welcome to download and use these documents as needed.

Please note that an official addition to the DOS Uniform Parish  Bylaws  has been made (but not included in the above copy) to include that in a mission, the priest-in-charge may appoint the mission council, with the approval of the Diocesan hierarch.

Here are some helpful links to the Internal Revenue Service and how to apply for a Employee Identification Number (EIN) and the process to apply for a Federal Tax Exempt Status. This information is very useful for new missions and mission stations.

In addition to the OCA Clergy Compensation Guideline document, we have provided links to US Census Bureau data and a stand-alone site that lists information on every city in the USA including Median Income data based on 2000 US Census Bureau information. Such data will be useful to determine clergy compensation based on the median income in which a parish is located.
